I haven't forgotten

I apologize for not being more talkative. Unfortunately, I have been unable to go scouting lately due to my work schedule, which has had me working morning- and day-shifts since the last update, and I cannot afford to throw off my sleep and miss a shift.

For the next week or so, I will be back into my regular evening shifts, which will allow me to go skipping and scouting again. I even made it out last night, only to find Aldi empty, and everybody else with just cardboard.

No actually grabbing of items yet (I really need to get a hook of some kind), but I scoped out a few more places tonight.

The local Aldi's (as highly recommended by reddit skippers) had some fetching items in it, though they were out of reach. Not far from there is a Health Living store, and though they share skips with a Panda Express, the loot also looked promising; however, unlike the Aldi's, everything was carefully black-bagged, so I will have to bring my own in case of tears while searching it.

A surprising number of shops in the area have compactors, which is somewhat distressing, in terms of skipping, but at least they're doing a little to reduce their footprint.

No trip to report on right now.

I just wanted to apologize for the lack of trips and updates. First, it snowed this week (ah, the joys of spring in the Midwest). Second, I've been on the very early shift, so have been sound asleep while prime skipping hours.

Third bit of news is a good piece: through a website call Freecycle.org, I've managed to acquire a used but usable bicycle trailer. It will go a long way toward allowing me to carry away what I can salvage, instead of being limited to what I can stuff into my backpack.

The weather is clearing and warming up again, and my shift is swinging back to its normal hours, so regular skip-reports will be coming shortly. You might even get one tonight.
